In 1999, Dr. Jerome Teelucksingh, a history lecturer at the University of the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago, founded International Men's Day.

International Men's Day is celebrated annually on November 19 to promote understanding of the health and overall welfare of men and boys. It aims to bring attention to the challenges they encounter.

This special day acknowledges the good things men contribute to the world and encourages them to be great role models.

The focus for 2023 is on ''Preventing Male Suicide to Zero,'' highlighting the fact that more men face a higher risk of suicide.

As many men under 30 to 45 are tragically losing their lives to suicide, International Men's Day strives to provide a platform for men to openly discuss their mental well-being.

International Men's Day aims to inspire men around the world to be more accepting and open when it comes to discussing mental health concerns.

Importance of International Men's Day:- This occasion provides a chance for individuals to express gratitude and celebrate the men who hold significance in their lives.
